Chatham Arch.
1800s cottages and brick homes along Mass Ave's north end, near Bottleworks.
The lowdown
Chatham Arch sits just northeast of downtown, tucked between Mass Ave, College Avenue, 10th Street and I-65. John Wood platted it back in 1836, and the streets still show it. You'll find Queen Anne cottages with gingerbread porches, bigger Italianate brick homes, and a 1932 Tudor Revival firehouse turned into homes. The north end of Mass Ave and the old Coca-Cola bottling plant at Bottleworks are your front yard here.
