Noblesville.
Hamilton County's seat, built around a historic courthouse square on the White River.
The lowdown
Noblesville is the Hamilton County seat, about 22 miles northeast of downtown Indy. Everything orbits the square and its striking courthouse, lined with antique shops, art studios and local restaurants. The White River riverwalk is a block away. Federal Hill Commons hosts concerts and a farmers market, and the Nickel Plate Trail runs through town. Homes range from older houses near the square to newer neighborhoods spreading toward Morse Reservoir and I-69.
