Warfleigh.
Riverside pocket wrapped by the White River, just across Westfield Boulevard from Broad Ripple.
The lowdown
Warfleigh is a small pocket on the north side, about seven miles from downtown. The White River wraps its north and west sides, College Avenue marks the east edge, and Westfield Boulevard and the canal run along the south, right across from Broad Ripple Village. Streets hold a mix of cottages, ranches and homes along the water. Look for the old stone abutment of the long-gone Warfleigh bridge near Meridian Street. Trails, river access and village pubs are all close.
